If you don't have any provisions to have a health insurance after you leave your employer, your coverage for your dependents generally ceases on the earliest of the following:
__ The date when your dependent is no longer meets the definition of dependent
__ The date when your coverage ends for any reason other than your receipt of of the overall maximum benefit
__ The date when your dependent receives the overall maximum benefit of major medical coverage
__ The end of the last period when you made any required contribution for your dependent
However your health insurance should be available past these dates because of various federal regulations or employer practices. In some cases your coverage can continue for a period of time, and in some other cases you can convert your employer's health coverage without showing any evidence of insurability.
