WHAT IS INDEXED UNIVERSAL LIFE INSURANCE?

The cash value in Indexed Universal Life Insurance receives it's interest rate (growth rate) based on the performance of some external index, such as S&P 500. The risk level of this type of insurance policy falls somewhere between the Fixed and the Variable Universal Life policies.

This is a relatively new product and currently classified as a fixed investment, yet it may change in the near future.
