WHAT IS ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING (ADL) ?

These are the basic activities that are considered the basis of our daily lives and help professionals determine whether you are qualified for Long Term Care. Generally, if you are unable to do two of the daily activities, you are should be qualified for Long Term Care. These activities are:

• Using the toilet
• Eating
• Bathing
• Transferring (from one bed to another)
• Dressing
• Caring for incontinence
